FAQ's

Have the coaches been CRB checked?
Yes, all coaches are advanced CRB checked.

Are you qualified?
Yes, All three coaches are FA Qualified (through the Cambridgeshire FA), have certificates in Child protection and Emergency Aid, please see our coaches profile page for more information.

What will my child need to bring with them?
For the soccer schools they will need appropriate footwear, shin pads, sun protection and water. For the football fun days they will require a packed lunch, ideally with plenty of fruit.

What time do I need to drop my child off and pick them up?
For the soccer schools please arrive at 12:55pm ready for the warm up session, collection is at 2:30pm. For the football fun days please arrive for 9:25am for drop off and promptly at 3pm for collection.

Can I stay and watch my child play?
You are welcome to stay and ensure that your child is comfortable, however to protect children we ask that you leave as soon as possible.

Can I take photographs?
Unfortunately not due to the child protection act, however we are happy to stage a photograph in an organised session if you would really like them, strictly no cam corders or other video recording device.

My child has a disability or medical condition, can they attend?
Absolutely, we believe football is for all and we are happy to make any necessary adjustments to accommodate everyone.

What level should my child be at to attend?
We believe that Football should be enjoyed by all, all we ask is that children taking part in our soccer schools have an interest in learning about the game and developing their skills. For our football fun days we welcome anybody of all abilities that would like to have fun and do not mind a football theme.

What age groups do you cater for?
Boys and girls aged 6 - 11, however if you have a child that falls just outside of this age group please talk to us and we will see what we can do.

How do I book?
You can book your place on the soccer school by calling  07767 270911  or by emailing booking@1ststrike.co.uk we ask for payment in advance either by cheque sent to 10 Poppyfields, Soham, Cambridgeshire, CB7 5TG made payable to 1st Strike Soccer Schools. We ask for a £5 deposit in advance for the football fun days, the balance can be paid on arrival on the day.

Can I meet the coaches before I book?
Yes, we are happy to meet and provide more information and answer any questions that you may have.
